No matter how hard I try to get ahead of myself, I always break – I can’t find my diamond in a ground full of stones.
My diamond, that have been in my possession for so long but doesn’t have an idea what it looks like;
My diamond, made with pure love and passion;
My diamond, that I’m eager to find;
My diamond, my niche.
Niche, as defined by Cambridge English Dictionary, is a job or a position that is very suitable for someone, especially one that they like. In regards to this, my niche is a spark igniting through me because it is something I like and right now, I’m eager to find it.
I joined various seminars and workshops anxious to find my niche and to my luck, the last seminar I went to concludes all my assumption.
According to what I’ve learned, to find your niche, you need to consider the quality of your voice, your skills and your interest. More than that, you need to ask yourself diverse questions such as:
What kind of voice do I have?
What kind of character can I do?
And what type of projects have I done?
After this, finding your niche will be as easy as 1, 2, 3.
In this kingdom packed with voice artists, eloquently knowing the types of voice artist and discovering which among this type is suitable for you can have a massive counterweight to your career.
There are several types of voice artists: (1) Voice Over,
(2) Character Voice,
(3) Radio and TV Commercials,
(4) Public Service Announcement,
(5) Movie Trailer,
(6) Audio-Visual Presentation,
(7) Telephony,
(8) Automated Dialogue Replacement,
(9) Radio Drama, and
(10) Animation, to name a few.
Every person has the potential to become any of these types of artist but at the end of the day, people who tend to discover their niche among these types devour like a beast for they are controlled by a realm of their passion thus making their works breathtaking.
With love and energy,
Jari V
